I have an ssd (sdb) with MX and a hdd (sda) for data. Haven't updated in a while.
After updating today, my data hdd is no longer listed in side panel under Devices.
I normally login for access to the data drive. GPartEd still shows both drives.
( I suppose I should copy latest snapshot to 'user' [Done!]. And to a stick (Ventoy? hmmm...). )
How can I get Thunar to list my data hdd partition again?
May be moot. It's working normally now.
( I suspect a prior update added a requirement that all restarts be full power-off "cold-boot". Perhaps splitting boot into boot & EFI ? )
How to restore hdd to Thunar after update? GPartEd still shows device & partition [Solved]

Please post the QSI using the copy for forum option. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't understand: doesn't the forum software display the text file the MX QSI tool generated?
Re: How to restore hdd to Thunar after update? GPartEd still shows device & partition
No, once you 'copy for forum' the text the QSI generates, then you need to paste it here. You attached a text file, which a) users cannot see unless they are logged in, andSomewhat Reticent wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 12:45 pm Sorry, I don't understand: doesn't the forum software display the text file the MX QSI tool generated?
b) it doesnt format the same way, and is a less readable.

Re: How to restore hdd to Thunar after update? GPartEd still shows device & partition
I'm OK with "users cannot see unless they are logged in" as it provides security, however minimal.
I use a browser add-on to invert colors, as I don't find the default phpBB theme very readable.
I've seen several QSI posts inside tiny "CODE" boxes that render them even harder to view.
Is there a way to convert the text file to, say, PDF format for readability?
Or expand to a "popout" sub-window, like for images?

Here is the normal method... (copy for forum button and then paste it here ) this keeps all formatting in place and is much easier to read.
