QSI please.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

from a terminal you can run

Code: Select all

conky-manager2

and if it does not work, try reinstalling "conky-manager" from the MX Package Installer.
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

2 other files also can affect this in your home directory
cd .config/autostart
ls -la - look for a file conky.desktop it should be here present
cd ~/.conky
ls -la conky-startup.sh
this is the script that is called when you login to your desktop session and display the conky.
This also can be rebuilt from files out of /etc/skel/.conky
permissions of the files can also affect the execution of the script
you may chmod 555 conky-startup.sh providing read and execute , take it step further could get away with chmod 550 conky-startup.sh
its your own file in your home directory "Other should not be permissive to see look at your files" nor read them.

Download and install Synaptic. From there, delete the rest of your Conky garbage because it's a waste of space and CPU cycles.

Your opinion only. It wouldn't be present if there wasn't a demand for its inclusion.

Per the QSI on another thread, they are running XFCE which has Synaptic installed.

That's an opinion.
