Which liquorix kernel should I choose? [Solved]

Hello friends,

I think it's the liquorix kernel I need. My six-year old laptop, my daily workstation on which HDMI ran perfectly, recently stopped working so now I'm using this smaller one I bought about a year ago. I got it mainly as a backup and to take with me when I travel so I've hardly used it. Didn't take long to discover that HDMI doesn't work at all (MX 23 KDE).

Then the other day when I was working on a live usb (Xfce) I got the idea to try HDMI to see what would happen and it worked, no sound though, only picture. I'm hoping if I can get it to work on KDE there will be sound.

Looking closer I noticed the different kernels:

Some weeks ago I tried an update thru the terminal but it broke the system and wouldn't boot so I reverted to a snapshot which I made end of Dec.

Frankly, 6.10 liquorix had some issues, I would either run 6.9, 6.11 or 6.12. ( Personally, I would go with 6.12 )

6.9 fixed quite a few issues with sound and video.
6.11 also added better support for sound and video as well as more.
And I have all my machines on 6.12 which works excellent, and none of the issue I ran into on 6.14

Have you tried updating KDE using MX Package Installer? Open the program and go to the Enabled Repos tab and look for the update button at the bottom.

I also have a Intel N100 based mini-pc (a Beelink EQ12). I've been using the MX-23.x AHS versions with the EQ12. I think I started with 23.1-ahs, I remember it had a 6.5 series kernel. I don't think wifi worked for me on 23.1-ahs with it's 6.5 kernel, but I was using a wired connection most of the time anyway. Pretty much had everything working starting with the 6.7 Liquorix kernels. Actually I'm kind of surprised your wifi works with the stock 6.1 Debian kernel, but it looks like it does from the QSI you posted.

@LU344928 CharlesV is talking about upgrading the kernels. I wanted to know if we can get your system to upgrade.
I don't know what commands you ran in the terminal, so the next best thing was to use the package installer to upgrade the system.
