#1 Post by Antro »

Hi there!

Just upgraded boost to 1.83 and package libboost-chrono1.83.0 seem to be missing something...

And issues like this are why we don't recommend leaving the debian-backports or Test repos enabled.
The issue is with the debian package so a bug report needs to be filed with them. The file listings at their own page at
https://packages.debian.org/bookworm-ba ... rono1.83.0
show the library package is not in the debs.

Unfortunatley for me, I need at least boost 1.81 in order to compile some git-sourced projects... I'll rollback to 1.81

Meanwhile,reportbug submitted, thanks for the suggestion

Ciao

That is pretty weird, since the package build runs a testsuite of the finished binaries. Maybe the binary just didn't get installed. They might have missed reverting the t64 changes for that library for the backport.

There's also a Debian mailing list for the backports. https://lists.debian.org/debian-backports/
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing
