QSI please.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Mouse and Touchpad > Touchpad - General - - Disable touchpad while typing?
Or I can give terminal commands to add to session and startup, IIRC, it works only with synaptics vs libinput.

To determine what you're using:
https://anonymousoverflow.catsarch.com/ ... being-used

Also, easy search what to enter for synaptics.

Thank you so much for the advice - appreciate it!
I checked and everything is installed and configured to work correctly, however it's not very efficient - maybe a timing issue

You're very welcome.

Just a few comments -
I have mine set to 0.1 seconds [0,1s]

EDIT https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... e-old.html - for the following. END EDIT

I used to put this in Session and Starup >Application Autostart without creating the "sudo mkdir -v /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d".
I'd just enter this: "syndaemon -i 1.0 -K -R -t" but I changed the 1.0 to something shorter, (0.1 - 0.5).
Later I removed one of the options - K R t.

Also run

Code: Select all

ps aux|grep syndaemon
in terminal.

And

Code: Select all

man - syndaemon
to see what the options are.

============================================================================
I forget how it works, but I used to enter this in Session and Starup >Application Autostart too

Code: Select all

synclient AccelFactor=0.25
to adjust the acceleration factor in Mouse and Touchpad.

Good Day - or Night
