no wifi after installing mxlinix

#1 Post by allin »

i installed Senpai Respin MX-LxQt , and after intalling wifi is not working

iwconfig shows this

lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off

i had previously had Senpai Respin MX-LxQt , installed only and wifi was working fine

i changed lot of setting and other stuff and after that system became very slow
since i dont know much about linux , i thought f installing new linux is the best way to go but wifi not working after fresh install

This is a good example of not messing with things you don't understand.

Without outlining what you changed, how you changed it, or why, there's no good way to figure out how to revert those changes back. Your best bet is to reinstall the OS and not change a lot of settings again.

That being said, your Broadcom wireless card is being detected in your QSI, so it doesn't look like a driver problem. You can boot a live USB and test to see if the live session sees your local wireless network SSID and you can connect to it as you normally would. If wifi connects in the live session but won't connect on the finished install, that's another matter.
