conkyt_sys_sm formatting issue

#1 Post by CharlesV »

I just encountered an issue with this conky displaying the "status" line out of / on the conky frame. I thought it was my increased font size, however when dropped back to a stock LiveUSB it was still not 'in the frame"

Image

Maybe it is supposed to be this way, but I think it is a bug.

For me on MXFB 23.6 with a 1920x1080 resolution it looks exactly like the image shown in CM--but that is not right in the first place, since the day and month are weirdly arranged.

Image

You can change the size of the framing image in the code: click on the pencil icon to edit the text and scroll down to the section "-- locales dependent image size" where alternative sizes are given. Choose the one that fits your screen, and then change the template number in the code at the end.

Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

I just verified 1920x1080 from a live usb (in a VM - maybe that is the difference ? )

Edit: Yup, I adjusted it on the computer that was running it, but I just wanted to call attention to the fact it does not appear properly on any of my machines. (modified fonts or not, installed or not - 3 different machines + the one I originally found this on.)

I get the same thing on my 1440 monitor. No modifications made to the conky.

@CharlesV I got it working. It requires the Loma font not included with the conky.

Code: Select all

${alignc}${voffset 25}  ${font Loma:size=75}${time %d}${font}

Image

Here that font I downloaded.

Excellent! good job. So MX should probably put that Loma font on the default install?

It probably should be included. The conkyt_sm conky also calls for that font.

hello siamhie
font. You nailed it. Loma.
more of your font magic with "Robot-Light" (?) (made me laugh)
Find fonts you like (that you have,)
siamhie is right, it has been falling back to mono everywhere.

"Robot-Light"...That's probably a typo for Roboto.
