Possibly try these, but yes YT does win a few rounds.
Current instance will be randomized on startup.

Image

Ex. this link states: https://inv.nadeko.net/feed/popular
"This instance is not available due to the recent youtube changes made (again) near to 2025-04-28 at ~03:00 UTC" just today.

And two 1/2's of a YT wack-a-mole :attention: :hitoverhead: do not = 1 wack-a-mole smiley.

EDIT using v0.23.4 Beta of flatpack, but they do lag a little.

Cheers!

I have the same version v0.23.4 but it is .deb file from freetube site, see screenshot

It doesn't work neither with your settings, nor with other invidious instances, see settings screenshots and error screenshots

I tried all the above invidious instances and they all give me the above errors. :bawling: I also changed the region from US to Germany and UK, the same result. :rolleyes: https://inv.nadeko.net/feed/popular also doesn't work. :mad: Maybe it works installed from flatpaks, but I have enough trying, I will stay with youtube in chromium, works great. :happy: :popcorn:
Thanx anyway.

You could run top or htop in a terminal to see what's eating the CPU cycles.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Only happens when surfing, when Falkon or Firefox aren't running CPU usage is very low....
