Lightdm isn't working right [SOLVED]

I've got troubles with recent 22.6 update, although I'm not sure if the only culprit was the latest update itself.. (my hardware is old, and I realised that two RAM modules weren't working fine... I had to take them out, but, fortunately, still have 16 GB of RAM installed..)

After two failed attempts of reinstalling the OS system –at another partition – with both stalled writing 'initramfrs' at 97% of the whole process (which left in despair...), I tried a different approach: running a liveUSB session with the latest 23.6 release (which, luckily, I've got downloaded and installed successfully at the USB thumb-drive using my other, older machine...), I tried to run MX Boot Repair app to restore GRUB config, and it is make it!

However, there's still a problem left : 'lightdm' isn't right yet... After boot, the screen fades, leaving only the cursor blinks for almost a minute, until it finally returns a prompt asking for root password for repairs or 'cntrl+D' to continue... Cntrl+D allowed me to start lightdm and login my user, founding almost everything ok, except for some loss of Xfce Desktop customisation (but all my documents and all applications already installed were there, intact!, "alhandulillah"...!) and suspension feature, which failed too (again, some lost config?..)

So, in short: I still have to know what to do the next stance when I start my Desktop and the login stalls and asks for root password...

But, I've just found out the real culprit!,,,

After hours trying to find out "what the heck" was happening with my system (and have found hardware issues -- defective RAM modules... -- a missing directory : 'inittab.d', which is just sort of "left-over" on Debian 12 based distros like MX…; and even an inconsistency between the hardware clock and the system clock; hardware clock was set to 3 hours ahead of local time!..), I've just found the culprit: everybody was thinking the problem was at the system partition /dev/sda1 at my SSD, but I realized the initial testing during boot also verifies other partitions, and I used to install /home separately, at /dev/sdb3 (one partition within my old 1 TB HDD)...!
Then, I tried once again a liveUSB session, and did execute 'sudo fsck /dev/sdb3' ; it immediately found errors, and asked for repair procedures! Thus, after clicking 's' ("sim" : "yes") as answer to all proposed repair procedures, the system returned to its normal state, and I'm right now working at my Desktop, after a boot as it is meant to be, without errors!
Nevertheless, I'm considering to replace that HDD for other storage device: a brand-new SSD, if affordable 'ASAP', in order to avoid such annoyances again, or worst...
