Emby theater has vanished from MXPI

#1 Post by junoluna »

Been using emby theater without issue for years. I wanted to re-install it because it was playing up a little but it has vanished from the package installer....At least it has disappeared from the MXPI i have on this laptop - it is still on another laptop's MXPI and i am pretty sure the systems are identical.....

i tried the flatpak and the snap versions but neither work right. the version i have on one laptop from MXPI works perfectly. I will clone the app and stick it on this laptop but where did it go?

thanks for all you do - this is the first time i have even had need to look at the forum for a year, which speaks volumes for the stability of your wonderful OS

Try using MX Repo Manager on the affected PC to change to a different repo.

Then open MX Package Installer to see if the results are Repo or PC related.

As @Eadwine Rose rightly pointed out, you have already tried the flatpack so I have edited this post. I now think that to get to the bottom of this mystery, we are going to need the QSI from one of the laptops where emby-theatre does work properly.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Download it from the web site. https://emby.media/emby-theater-linux.html#deb
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

I use the Emby Media Server and have never seen it in MX's repos.
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.
