Gforth and SDL graphics

#1 Post by Qiset »

I've tried two different version of mxlinux not, 21.3 and now the latest 23. I can't get SDL graphics to work with gforth on either
version. I know that it works on some linux distributions but, I'm kinda convinced that it doesn't work on mxlinux.
Has anyone managed to get it to work? If so please let me know. Just to know that it is possible would be a boost.

Please post your QSI. ( MX Menu, Quick System Info, Copy for Forum, Paste here )

And are you using the gforth installed from MX package manager or have you installed it from some other location ?
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer

You need that just for me to find out if anyone running mxlinux has got this to work? That seems a bit extreme. Let me know and if you still want it, I'll comply.

It is in the forum rules (which, please read). Please don't make us keep asking.

Yes I read them. I just figured that for something like this, it was a waste of time and effort on my part and on the part of anyone reading the post. Maybe the rules need to changed?
The gforth I'm using was installed using the package installer.

Assuming you have the SDL plugin's installed, you may be running into an nvidia / sdl issue. There are quite a few discussions regarding nvidia and sdl issues - and several of them specifically discuss geforce as well.
