Finally I put back the free drivers "sudo ddm-mx -p nvidia". Everything works but not Orca slicer. The Stable or Dev version is the same result, I see the launch screen then nothing!

Re: No more 3D application since installing Nvidia driver
I tried to install Orca Slicer Windows via Wine. It works, I can import objects and see the 3D. But there is a problem with the machine selection. So it is not fully functional.
Does Orca Slicer work natively on Mx Linux for you?

Re: No more 3D application since installing Nvidia driver
I have much better luck with appimages, and there is one for this application
https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer ... 0.AppImage
Give that a try and see how it works for you.

Re: No more 3D application since installing Nvidia driver
It's with AppImage that I have the problems. A priori the solution is here but I can't implement it. I don't know Linux enough for that.

Re: No more 3D application since installing Nvidia driver
Hmm.. starts and looks fine here, but I dont have a 3d printer so I can only go so far.
I am betting its the nvidia driver, your on an older driver. You can try the workaround that you pointed to as follows:
The work around you pointed too you can test as follows:
1) in Thunar, go to where the appimage you downloaded is located (this is the app image you want: OrcaSlicer_Linux_V2.2.0.AppImage)
2) Right click on the appimage and go to properties. Go to the permissions tab and make sure Program: "Allow this file to run as a program" is checked.
3) Right click on white space, in the folder where the appimage is located and then left click on "Open Terminal Here"
4) In the terminal window that opens, paste this code and then hit enter.
This should launch the application, and it looks like it turns OFF the gpu rendering.
OR
You might try updating your linux kernel AND nvidia driver:
a) backing up your system (timeshift and BackinTime or Lucy backup, and also make a snapshot if you dont have one already.)
then install a liquorix kernel ... i would try 6.5 or 6.9 and then upgrade your nvidia drivers. ( optional - head for 6.12 nvidia driver ... your machine is older so you might stick with an older liquorix.
Here is my machine, and that app image seems to run just fine.
