cant open app GEANY IDE from Fluxbox doc

#1 Post by AA BB »

app GEANY has been part of my Fluxbox doc for ages...but today when I click the icon on the FluxBox doc, the icon drops down to the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and I cant get the app window to open. When I click the app icon on the task bar, it terminates the app......Never had this problem before and NEED HELP to fix it ..Thanks

Is it maybe on another workspace?
press ctrl+alt or roll mouse wheel to cycle through workspaces.

or try ctrl+0 to maximize the window

failing that... there is a geany folder in ~/config Rename that folder to say z_geany and then try to launch geany again.

Pls start geany in a terminal and copy back here any error messages. Also might be useful to check that it is actually present:

Code: Select all

which geany
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin
