MX 23.5.1 ? [Solved]
Re: MX 23.5.1 ?
I was thinking of upgrading to MX 23; should I wait?
Re: MX 23.5.1 ?

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Re: MX 23.5.1 ?
The KDE version isn't going to have any XFCE 4.20 issues...

Re: MX 23.5.1 ?
MX-18; still works good without updates. I tried using live MX-23, but ran into BIOS issues and current partition; I had setup an sda5 ext4 extension partition and a little leery about losing it, sda1 ext4 for root, sda4 swap.
Also, MX-23 kept asking for partition password; passwords used on MX-18 was rejected.

Re: MX 23.5.1 ? [Solved]
I'm not planning any new isos. the main issue appears to be with upgrade-in-place, not fresh installs. but in any case, if you install updates before installing, you would be covered either way./df wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 8:27 am About to build one or more laptops with MX Xfce as the main OS.
