Perhaps the best graphical logical volume management tool around . It is created by fedora and I would love to see it added to Mx repository one day.

Re: Blivet-gui
Can you confirm if their Bookworm packages work before I port them over?

MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Re: Blivet-gui

It works. But I think you have two options afterwards ;
1 - Include it in future isos by default as an additional tool next gparted in case someone wants to install Mx using lvm across many disks, without internet connection. I believe it is also good for setting up btrfs systems .
2- Only include them in the repository , which means the installer has to have an internet connection to install it on the live iso before installing Mx .
It is all up to you . Thanks anyway Mr Stevo.
Re: Blivet-gui
I always have problems with blivet-gui, with its piss-poor stability and responsiveness, like some half-baked bloaty Python or Java app. It hangs for 5-10 seconds every single time I make a change. It also crashes or hangs on some custom partition setups. This has been going on for a few years and I simply put up with it, I doubt anybody cares enough to fix it, notwithstanding that Fedora are rewriting their installer to some web UI (yes really...) so who knows what will replace this app.
Until these issues are fixed, I would be against including blivet-gui on the MX ISO, especially in light of very few people reporting that they are having issues using the existing partition tools to deal with LVM or Btrfs.
