Any tactful bullying for our MX - The need for our unity [Solved]
Re: Any tactful bullying for our MX - The need for our unity
When I started with MX, I loved it was simple to use and had the tools which negated most of my notes for CLI.
The system is so solid, I found I didn't even need the MX Tools near as much as I needed the CLI in other distros.
I read the negative posts I can find because I never know where knowledge will come from.
As I read more about the negative thoughts, my point of view has become a bit skewed toward the idea of 'success hatred'.
While I dislike Windoze, I do not wish them failure. But there are many who attack it even with malware and not just posts.
I feel this is the same with MX. While some negative posts have merit, the majority of negative posts (my opinion) are the "I hate success that I'm not part of" mentality.
It isn't just here in distro competition though. It seems it is the norm of our present culture.
But there are also some who feel that their choice distro has no flaws or you can't talk about my OS flaws.
Personally, I'm waiting for the next 'sliced bread' development. And I'm concerned about those that do the programming for AI.
Again, just my point of view & doesn't mean I'm correct or even that my thoughts are valid.

... Criticism can also be constructive... but unfounded anathemas are not.

Meh, if you have thick enough skin it doesn't really matter. We are humans, we are influenced by praises and criticisms, but also at some point if something goes over a limit it just makes it easier to ignore.

translated means "Just act normal, that's plenty crazy."
Still kinda related to it

I love MX Linux plasma version and I find that it is the most complete distro out of the box in terms of utilities (MX Tools + KDE app)
That said, my criticisms:
- The installer is not suitable for beginners (partition) despite the clever switching with gparted
- the (almost) need to use a USB key to change version (21.x to 23.x) limits installations outside of family or friends. I am not going to go to reinstall in each association, I put LMDE directly.
For personal and family use, I prefer MX, for others I prefer LMDE.
I'm not the only one to "criticize" the need to use a USB stick to change the /. On a strictly personal level I understand the idea of a clean reinstall, but I also understand influencers on YouTube or others noting this as a "defect".
For my part I have no doubt about continuing on MX, I don't use the tools every day but just the creation of ISO from snapshot, just for that I will stay (plus the reactive teams, the possible switch between sysVinit and systemd, lots of reasons!)

I kindly invite all of them to take a stroll through askubuntu and see the enormous amount of problems that determine the updates from version to version.I'm not the only one to "criticize" the need to use a USB stick to change the /.
