Is there a workaround to be able to upgrade Liquorix kernel
but now it won't unset?

Could you give your post some more description? You mean the tweak that should enable automatic Liquorix Kernel updates, but the updates did not get installed?

In this case, did you activate the meta package "Liquorix 64 bit (ahs updates package)" in the popular applications tab of the MX Package Manager (Section "Kernel")? If not, I think, the package manager does not know what to update.

If this is not the problem, what exactly would that be?

Well, I had turned the automatic update off, but then decided i wanted to try the new kernel but have been unable to turn the auto update on again. Thanks, DO.
