Do I need auto-cpufreq, or does MX Linux already have something like auto-cpufreq implemented?
I am running MX Linux Xfce with systems (systemd-sysv).
Do I need "auto-cpufreq" in MX Linux?

No need to bold that text, please use normal formatting unless you really want an emphasis in a large bit of text. Also: why rolling your eyes at us?

If need be, you can do this using the LiveUSB, thanks.

That's a bios setting. Post #5 in this thread from the Debian forums will show you what to look for:

HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;
In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

auto-cpufreq:

It is not a BIOS setting in any computer I have seen.

Re: Do I need "auto-cpufreq" in MX Linux?
Usually, no.
The CPU's speed governor setting is by default "ondemand", where it only speeds up under load, in order to reduce heat and power usage. Otherwise it's at idle, or even halted.
It can be tuned...are you noticing any problems?
