My CPU is badly overheating under load. For example while during a kernel build, which tends to be CPU bound, the CPU temps hit 80 celsius, the CPU fan speed remains constant as from first boot, it just doesn't spin up at all regardless of load or temperature. I have uploaded two screenshots. In both scenarios, cpu fan speed is constant and my CPU can be seen getting very hot when under load as compared to cool when idling.
If it is of any interest, Conky is polling the wrong CPU temperature also, I suspect the discrete GPU instead.
