Hello, dear MX developer team.
On MX Linux 21, there is tcpview 3.4.0, available from the MX Test repository.
(Cf. the relevant request: viewtopic.php?t=72515 from Nov. 2022)
On MX Linux 23, sadly there is no tcpview 3.4.0 available from the MX Test repository.
Telling from the Ubuntu Launchpad PPA by chipmunk, the current tcpview version seems to be 3.4.0 still. Cf. here, please: https://launchpad.net/~chipmunk.sm/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+packages?field.name_filter=tcpview&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=
chipmunk's Github page (and tcpview source code) can be found here: https://github.com/chipmunk-sm/tcpview
Is there a chance that tcpview 3.4.0 will be made available in the MX Test repository for MX Linux 23 perhaps? - Would much appreciate so.
P.S.:
The MX 21 tcpview package installs and works on MX 23.3 here, too. ;-)
Regards,
Karl

Re: tcpview 3.4 for MX Linux 23, please [Solved]
Last night the MX Linux updater "upgraded" the tcpivew package 3.4.0-1~mx21+1 to 3.4.0-1~mx23+1.
Time to send a "thank you very much" to Stevo for adding tcpivew 3.4.0-1~mx23+1 to the MX 23 testrepo.
Code: Select all
2024-09-01 01:27:41 upgrade tcpview i386 3.4.0-1~mx21+1 3.4.0-1~mx23+1

Re: tcpview 3.4 for MX Linux 23, please
Since you said it seemed OK, and I don't think we would get very many other testers for this non-invasive package, I asked for both MX 21 and 23 packages to go to main.

Re: tcpview 3.4 for MX Linux 23, please
I can confirm that tcpview 3.4.0 still works correctly on MX 23.3 here.
Code: Select all
dpkg --list tcpview
