How do you manage to install Xfce4? I assume you are having two desktops, one of those offered by the system by default + Xfce4, installed by you... isn't that right?.
It is possible to get only Xfce4 in antiX?

@keos Yes. I booted up to the IceWM desktop and opened Package Installer.
Then I went to the Enabled tab and searched for xfce and selected the meta-package.
(I think the one offered under popular was the base install)

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

I'm always looking for different ways to answer the main question here ... xfce4-panel is my idea of a killer app ... and I found this elsewhere in the forum (or a forum):
https://sleeperos.sourceforge.io
The basic functionality is there but I haven't done much with it yet.
Downloading raw Antix and drawing in Xfce via the Package Manager--particularly the no-polkit version--has not brought me a lot of joy, personally and for what little it's worth.
It's not turnkey like the Manyroads version once was. It feels, let's say, untested and pretty unloved.
Which I guess it is. ; )
