Upon booting audio is disabled:

When going into PulseAudio settings I see this:

The Family17h/19h is my audio controller. In the past it happened already that audio was disabled at start-up, however another reboot fixed it.
Now, when I try to change the Audio Controller Profile (see last screenshot) I see:
- Analog Stereo Duplex (unavailable)
- Analog Stero Output (unplugged) (unavailable)

I played a bit with these settings at no avail.

Any idea how to debug it? Actually this is a major issue for me, if I can't find a way to fix it I need to change distro which is something I am really not happy about.

Thanks.

Use MXPI to install one of the available Liquorix kernels. There's ample evidence here in the forums that many issues including audio problems can be solved by using a Liquorix kernel with Ryzen based systems.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

first check to see if only one instance of wireplumber is running.

Code: Select all

ps -aux |grep wireplumber |grep -v grep
you should also be able to roll back to the 6.1.0-22 kernel. we haven't updated pipewire, so kernel driver is a good place to start, and unless you've removed it, -22 should still be installed.

If another kernel does not help, boot from systemd and check!
