MX Permanent Secure Upgrade Path? [Solved]
Re: MX Permanent Secure Upgrade Path?
It still takes hours for me to do it the Debian way, so I don't see much, if any, advantage over saving my /home along with the custom shortcut scripts I have set up in /usr/local/bin when installing a new MX ISO over the old. My current MX 23 /home dates back to MX 17.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Is this the official way of MX for upgrade, or you refer to something else?Stevo wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:29 pm It still takes hours for me to do it the Debian way, so I don't see much, if any, advantage over saving my /home along with the custom shortcut scripts I have set up in /usr/local/bin when installing a new MX ISO over the old.
