Re: MX Fluxbox Screenshots
Thanks @Jerry3904. The simple and minimalistic desktop is starting to grow on me.
I forgot to include my root menu which is the tron-blue style (http://tenr.de/styles/?i=1) with the alpha set to 50 to really give it that transparent look against the desktop.

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Re: MX Fluxbox Screenshots
Trying a new layout. Moved my fluxbox toolbar to the right (first time in 20+ years).
Shrank the icon size to 35 so that only the pixmap shows. Added my weather conky.
Style is called tron blue. (http://tenr.de/styles/?i=1) XMMS skin is called Coplandos grey mod.
Image is Mount Whanganui in New Zealand I found on pexels.com.

Re: MX Fluxbox Screenshots
Here's another nice lightweight fluxbox distro.
This Fluxuan build is based on Devuan-daedalus, the systemd-free twin of Debian-bookworm.
Their latest release installs a solid and extremely snappy base system of ~2gb and around 600 packages, with pcmanfm (file-manager), connman (network-manager) and alsa (sound-server) as well as qutebrowser. All previous xfce apps+dependencies are gone now; Oh, and did I mention 'systemd-free'?

Meanwhile I've updated fluxbox to version 1.3.8, installed tint2 as alternative/non-default toolbar, added various system-tools (like fsearch, pipewire-audio, qdirstat, urxvt terminal), applications like firefox, geany, yad, gimp, audacious, mpv) - and many small tools & scripts. Memory-hungry apps like volumeicon and cmst are disabled at startup, calling these with keybindings when needed. No office-suite installed yet (unsure whether I will do so). As you can see in below screenshot, package count is still well below 1000 pkgs...
Fluxuan also comes with a basic CLI-driven snapshot utility, which creates a perfect clone of my running system, saving all personal configurations and network settings - for immediate reinstall in case of system failure.
Gonna have lots of fun with this tiny distro...
