Import Multiple VPN profiles at a time

#1 Post by ~FLOW~ »

Greetings, my excellent friends !
I have a question, is there a posibility to import multiple VPN profiles at a time ?
From time to time I have to "refresh" my VPN profiles, from one machine to another. I have like 37 VPNs ... and it's a pain to always import one by one.
From here I can only import one profile

and I know I just can't copy all the profiles here : /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Were you able to find a resolution on this?

Kind of an interesting problem.

nope, I tried Wireguard-gui and Wiregui, but one of them doesn't work and the other doen't do multiple connections working at the same time.

The closest I could get was to export them one by one with nmcli and then import them one by one.

You could setup a batch to process both the export and import.. but I have found no other method to do it.

There are quite a few threads saying you can just copy the connection files to a new computer - modify the user rights and it will 'just work' (Have to restart network-manager) ... however I was unable to get this to work.
