Problems in Linux XM Virtual

#1 Post by truus22 »

Dear all,

The text below is a translation

I've been using Linux MX virtually in VMware for a while now. However, when I want to connect via a USB Stick, it does not work and I get the following messages:

1. The device 'SanDisk 3.2Gen1 was unabile to connect to its ideal host controller. An attempt will be made to connect this device to the best available host controller. This might result in undefined behavior for this device.

2. A USB device is about to be unplugged from the host and connected to this virtual machine. It will first be stopped to enable safe removal. With some devices, the host may display the message "The device can now safely be removed.

Since my English is quite poor, I do not fully understand the meaning of these messages and I certainly do not know what I can/should do with them. Can anyone on this Forum help me to be able to connect to my Virtual Machine via my USB Stick again? Then I'd love to hear it.
Yours sincerely,
Cor Jansen

*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.

Hello Charles, thanks for your response. I have no idea what QSI is, I have to find that out first, then I will try to do what you asked. Yours sincerely,
Cor Jansen
