Unfortunately. that's no guarantee that it will also work in Linux. But the real concern is that mice aren't anywhere near as robust as we think they are. A fall onto a carpeted floor can be enough to knock them out of whack. I had a relatively new Logitech mouse that was causing me to double post here in the forum.Just to be clear, this PC was on Windows 10 and the mouse was working.

It seems the issue is on Debian distros perhaps. Same issue replicated on Peppermint.

What model of mouse is it?

I believe that was the case for 6.0 kernels, not the tried and true LTS Debian Bookworm 6.1 kernels...j2mcgreg wrote: Tue May 28, 2024 7:51 am Assuming that you have already tested you mouse with a fresh battery or your computer with another mouse:
The 6.1.xxx kernel is known to be buggy. I think that you should use MXPI to install one of the Liquorix kernels that are available. As a starting point I suggest either the Liquorix 6.5.xxx or 6.6.xxx. After the install is complete, reboot, at the Grub screen select Advanced Options and then select the Liquorix kernel as the boot choice for this session. If the new kernel solves the problem, you can make the switch permanent with Boot Options in MX Tools.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Re: Mouse's right click gets locked and is unresponsive
Thank you all. I decided to try Linux Mint and the issue has not occurred again. Even though I really wanted to stick with MX Linux. The mouse is generic (Chinese import).
