Would be helpful to use descriptive topic titles. Now people think you mean installing MX.
MX-23.6_x64 July 31 2023 * 6.1.0-37amd64 ext4 Xfce 4.20.0 * 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 2700

You have an Ubuntu repo enabled. You may have introduced package conflicts into your system as a result.

MX is Debian, not Ubuntu.

I have CinnaMX2 installed ( = MX linux cinnamon )
SimpleScreenRecorder installs just fine and opens with the dialog just as always.

Good luck

Code: Select all

Ah, I see there is:
https://repositories.intel.com/gpu/ubuntu jammy client
Is it possible to register another user for current MX Linux wich will not use above packages from Ubuntu ?
OR
I need to install absolutely new MX Linux on another SSD in near future ?

Disable that incompatible Ubuntu PPA, update apt, and try again.

You may have to use aptitude to remove those PPA packages and revert back to MX packages to fix your broken system. Telling us why that PPA was addded could also be helpful, since you don't even use an Intel GPU.

MX is not Ubuntu compatible.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

As I remember at FEB-24-2024 I did try to install MX-23.2 "Libretto" Linux without Video-Card. May be I did try to install support about some internal GPU inside CPU Intel Core i5 ... I did make a big mistake.

My problem is solved following above advises most commonly described :

Code: Select all

pkg --force-all --configure -a

Code: Select all

dpkg --purge --force-depends <bad package:386>

Code: Select all

dpkg --purge --force-depends <bad package another>

Code: Select all

apt --fix-broken install
Thanks!

Did you disable that Ubuntu PPA?

There are some short terminal commands that can tell you if you still have stuff installed from it.

I did disable that Ubuntu PPA, but I'm interested about some short terminal commands that can tell me if still have stuff installed from it.
