Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13 [Solved]
Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13
Hi,
could you please update Double Commander in the repo to the latest release: 1.1.13?
There is now available a repo for Debian 12 builds of DC on OBS:
https://software.opensuse.org/download. ... ublecmd-qt
Thanks.

Re: Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13
pardon me, so before I install something from the obs that is not even up to date, I look on the program homepage and there is then the current v1.2 as qt and gtk application as an appimage.
Both run here for me without any problems

Re: Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13
That's weird, because there is no version 1.2.
DC 1.1.13 is the latest release that I can see on its homepage:

Re: Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13
daily snapshots , have always worked for me, but I don't use it as much as I used to.
https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/site/eng/snapshots.php
if i really want something newer than what is available in MXPI as well-tested software, i'll go straight for the really latest.
With appimages it's still safe, with flatpaks the space requirement is extreme in comparison (I only use it when there's no alternative) and I let *.deb run on my test installation for a while;-}.

Re: Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13 [Solved]
1.1.13 is on its way to the MX 23 test repo.
Hmmm...appears that MX 21 would need a backport of libqt5pas.

Re: Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13
Does that rule out any updates for MX-21?

Would be interested in the answer to this question as well.

I'll see if that qt5pas backport fixes the MX 21 build.

Re: Request MX-23: Double Commander 1.1.13
Nice to see DC getting bumped up to the latest version :) I actually run the portable version and update it manually every few months or when there is an interesting change in the patchnotes.
Afaik 1.1.13 is the latest version. The writer of DC is very conservative about calling a program "stable". DC was in "alpha" stage for the longest time (around version 0.9) while being ready for production already. Since he bumped the status from "beta" to "gamma" in 1.1.12 I expect we might see the final version of the 1.1 branch soon and then 1.2 will be on its way.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
