Can anyone tell me why at the start of my system, I'm asked for my password? and how do I stop it?

Assuming you're not talking about an encrypted partition: "MX User Manager" from menu, "Options" tab, check to enable autologin for that user.

If your running XFCE, then run MX User Manager in the menu, then on the Options tab, choose your user and click on login Automatically.
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

Do you automatically login to your desktop? If so, this is what worked for me using Vivaldi.
