Sound-juicer fails.
Sound-juicer fails.
Installed sound-juicer to see how well it works and it fails to find the audio CD.
Anyone try it and can advise how to get it to work?

Re: Sound-juicer fails.
Sound Juicer works fine for me. It can take 30 seconds or so sometimes to contact Musicbrainz to get the track listings.
I prefer Asunder. It allows quality selection (for lossy formats like mp3 ogg aac) or compression level settings (for lossless formats) for the output files. Sound Juicer does not.
You might give us the output ofto see how your drive is seen by the OS.

Re: Sound-juicer fails.
Progress - a new error hal daemon may not be running
Re: Sound-juicer fails.
Hmmm---I don't think it should. I thought hal was deprecated quite a while ago. There is a newer sound-juicer upstream in Debian that could be backported.

Re: Sound-juicer fails.
I guess I will stick with K3B as it works every time ripping Audio CD's for me.
Re: Sound-juicer fails.
I backported a newer sound-juicer 3.40.0 for the test repo, but it can downloaded early here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pHHViH ... sp=sharing
