According to this thread, I would like to add a package request for MX 23.
There's a tool called guiscrcpy, which makes it possible to mirror a Android phone to a Linux computer and remote control that phone from that Linux computer.
I used to run it on MX 19.4 xfce 64bit, but meanwhile there was an Android update, and it is not possible to enter the phone PIN via the keyboard of the computer anymore.
Probably because the scrcpy version is too old.
For more information, please, see the other thread as linked above.
I would like to have the flatpak version to be able to install it into other distros as well, but mainly to be able to install it into MX 23 (or 23.2).
Could anybody make such a flatpak version of guiscrcpy, but with the latest scrcpy version being supported, please?
EDIT:
Flatpak wouldn't be absolutely necessary. An ordinary package would be ok, too.
Who ever will try to create such a package of guiscrcpy, please make sure that it supports the latest version of scrcpy.
Looking for a new guiscrcpy package
Re: Looking for a new guiscrcpy package
I just finished installing scrcpy on MX-23 using the instructions at https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/bl ... c/linux.md and came over to suggest that it would be a good application to make a .deb file of.
You have to compile it, but it's really easy. Just copy and paste.
It doesn't really need a gui front end, just some .desktop files.
It works really well so far.
