MX 23.2 - Surfshark Install Failing

I have tried multiple ways of installing Surfshark to MX23.2 without success.

I used tits website method of install using this script that appears to be for linux Ubuntu not Debian12 or MX23.2:

curl -f https://downloads.surfshark.com/linux/debian-install.sh --output surfshark-install.sh #gets the installation script
cat surfshark-install.sh #shows script's content
sh surfshark-install.sh #installs surfshark

I have tried so many different modifications I can't remember them all. Note that I have gotten Surfshark to work on older versions of debian. Also Surfshark works great on my Android Box as downloaded from Google-play.

Am I beating down a worn path to failure...

are you getting any errors when running the commands you listed? i followed those in an mx 23.2 virtual machine and surfshark seemed to install fine:

I installed it couple of weeks ago without problems using the suggested method from their website.
But the latest upgrade (this week) failed and I had to remove/purge it several times (also sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq surfshark) to install it

the latest system upgrade or upgrade of the surfshark package failed? were you finally able to install surfshark and get it working?
