Hello,

I would like to use my Bose Soundlink-Mini as an audio output device.
With the HFP audio profile it works as it should, but the playback quality is naturally poor.
If I switch the audio profile to A2DP to get better audio quality, the playback is a disaster:
The volume is low and there is a lot of scratchy loud noise.

But that can't be the fault of the Bose speaker:
If I use an RCA cable instead of bluetooth, the A2DP playback is very good.
The Bluetooth connection and playback from my smartphone to the Soundlink Mini also works perfectly.

Can anyone in the know help me?
Many thanks in advance!

Since it appears you have to use a USB bluetooth adapter on that box, I suspect that is the issue. I have seen some real issues with usb bluetooth devices - usually either problems in sound, lag or quality.

Someone a little more acquainted with that box may have more ideas, but I would start by checking to see if you can modify the USB drivers. (newer, etc.)

You might try seeing if the same issues exist in a boot to sysvint, also check a live USB . The only other thing I can think of is to update to the very latest linux-firmware.
