Much less important: pls change the desktop icon for the YT vid to a recognizable video icon such as /usr/share/icons/Papirus/24x24/mimetypes/video-mp4.svg
that message comes up no matter what, even when chromium launches. red herring. its just checking for old bluetooth libraries and its part of rpi's modifications of the package if I read the forums correctly.

so reboot and see if chromium launches.

Chris
lets keep it here for a bit, mostly because I'm not sure I want to even announce/release it with the chromium issue.

I'm still seeing the cursor flicker with Conky active, and I've noticed that even with Conky off, there is some flicker when hovering over links in Chromium.

On my 1920*1200 monitor, the panel clock is still truncated. The panel needs to be 40 pixels wide as a minimum, but 42 is better.

We can just freeze this until after New Year's if people would like to.

The video is now live but I don't think that matters.

A bit bored early this morning when it's cold and gray, and no one is up yet; so I decided to see to what extent using MXPI to install KDE would work. I'm not a KDE person, but it certainly looks good. On the basic desktop I found only one non-functional component--a task manager, I gather. My Pi 5 8G had no trouble handling what I looked at quickly, and I imagine a Pi 4 8G would do fine as well; not sure about a Pi 400. I'd be really interested in hearing what actual KDE-users who own a Pi think, especially of course @Adrian.

(I hadn't really thought much about this project enabling the other versions, though I did look earlier at Fluxbox and found that with a bit of work on my part it would be normal.)
