MythTV 33.0+fixes.20230210.026e506 (amd64 only - MythTV doesn't support their backend on anything else though they do have frontend packages for arm64) is now available in the MX-23 Main repository.
When DirecTV had one of our local stations removed by Tenga, I threw together a MythTV DVR on MX-23 so I could still timeshift those programs and discovered there was no debian MythTV version, so I used the Ubuntu one that matched our library versions.
Although it did include a sysv init script for the myth-backend, it had no status option and the MythTV backend setup program (mythtv-setup.sh) assumed systemd so it kept throwing errors that I had to work around.
So I figured out how to add the status option to the init script (needed for the next step) and patched the mythtv-setup.sh script to use service commands instead of systemctl commands if not booted with systemd (finding in the process a long-standing minor mistake causing a systemctl daemon-reload every time the mythtv-setup script stopped or started the mythtv-backend daemon).
It's working properly for me now so I built and tested packages and sent it up.
