I am getting the same errors on two of my Thinkpads (T490 & L430):

Tried sudo apt-get update --fix-missing and also fix broken packages in Synaptic but neither worked.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm guessing that since dist-upgrading brought me no broken kernel, that:

--I don't actually have a problem, and,
--proceeding with the rest of the update, and even rebooting, won't cause any issues?

Please confirm or knock down that guess if you can.

Seeing that the bad 14 was superseded, I went for it--rebooting now--if you don't hear from me again there are no problems.
