Thanks to everyone who replied to my questions. It's been interesting and I learned a thing or two (have backed up the panels on my other box now). Did not see a mention of "panel-2" in the file mentioned; maybe that would only be in there if I had backed up this box. That panel was just a bit of candy for me anyhow and I think I shouldn't have much trouble rebuilding it. Hopefully I won't enter wrong passwords in the future.

Thanks to all who replied to my post but I am going to abandon this for now. The second panel had nothing significant about it and I guess I can rebuild it easily enough. The file mentioned had no entry for "panel-2' at all - I assume it only gets in there if I had actually backed the panels up in the first place (just did that on my other boxen). Strange though that the computer froze just because I entered a password wrong.

Looks like I never noticed that my second to last post went to another page and I have no idea how to delete it. Sorry about that.
