#1 Post by Penobscot »

I receive the following when I use the package installer. No problem with the same user performing sudo apt upgrade. Appreciate any help. Thanks

ok will look into it. this is probably part of our update to make the gui's non-elevated.

did you get a prompt for password? and what version is that mx-packageinstaller at?

at the moment I can't duplicate the problem with the latest 23.11.07.

I can reproduce, when typing three times the wrong password, I got the similar error msg: Not authorized.
Or even just pressing two times Esc at the Authentication popup window:
not-authorized.jpg
So I guess some more details would be needed ... as otherwide I can't reproduce when entering the correct password.

Current is 23.11.07; however, I believe that happened with 11.05, which I just updated via the command line.

I did receive a password prompt, after it prompted for the user via a pull-down menu. BTW, I'm also receiving this from the Test Repo tab.

so I assume you used a password that matched the user?

the prompt will happen on any action that requires elevated priveledges.

Maybe consider tidy up your repo list:

This one may cause issues highly not recommended to have this enabled.
