MX Package Installer - Flatpaks - Upgrade all - Error

#1 Post by count-72-on-fingers »

Hello to the hard working developers.

Since installing "MX Package Installer", Version 23.11.02, on the 15th of November 2023, there is a problem.

How I use updates
- When I start my system each day I open a terminal and run the command "sudo apt-get update". This results in the "You have updates" symbol turning green (if there are updates) within seconds of closing the terminal.
- Then I click on the green symbol and install any pending updates.
- Then I open "MX Package Installer" and click on the "Flatpaks" tab. I then click on "Upgrade all".

The problem
- At this stage a pop-up window appears with the title "Error" containing the message, "Problem detected while installing, please inspect the console output".
- When I move the pop-up window to one side I can see the "console output" which says, "Proceed with these changes to the system installation? [Y/n]: n".

My analysis
- The question has received the response "n" automatically, without any input from me.

My current workaround
- I open a terminal and run the command "Flatpak update", which works as it should.

Request
Could you please add fixing this to your "to-do" list?

Thank you.

This deb should fix the error: https://github.com/MX-Linux/mx-packagei ... _amd64.deb
It should come shortly through regular updates.

Hello Adrian
Thank you for reacting so quickly.
Version 23.11.03 has not fixed the problem (installed at the end of my day yesterday).
I saw this morning that version 23.11.04 has just been installed on my system. I will test this tomorrow.

Just updated (full-upgrade) my MX 23.1 AHS x64 Test-VM ... MXPI on my system is now: 23.11.05 ...

[Upgrade All] -> '[Y/n]' selection, "Y" is now the default and pressing [Enter] starts the upgrade-all process as usual.

Hello Adrian

Version 23.11.05, tested on my notebook on the 19.11.2023, worked.
Version 23.11.07, received through the normal update service this morning, tested on my main computer, works.

I consider this bug to be solved.
Thank you.
