Programs installed via WINE aren't added to the Start menu

#1 Post by Katie Boundary »

In other distros, they'll usually be added somewhere. Maybe a new WINE folder gets added to the Start menu and everything gets dumped there, or maybe games get added to the existing Games folder, whatever, but they're usually somewhere.

I just installed a bunch of Windows games in MX-23 and none of them are anywhere to be found.

Can you post "Quick System Info" from menu - that will be helpful for all who are willing to help.

On 2 installs of MX23 KDE Wine folder was not shown in the menu, but in the "Lost & Found"
I moved everything to the "Wine" folder (had to be created) using menu editor ("Edit Applications")

MX 21.3 XFCE all WINE applications added to Menu>Wine>Programs no problem. This assumes they have been installed as opposed to just running from the exe via a shortcut.

Okay, I found a kinda-sorta solution. It seems that there's a hard limit to the amount of crap that the Applications Menu can show at one time. After I hid a bunch of folders that weren't being used, the WINE folder appeared.
