Elan touchscreen not found

#1 Post by Penobscot »

I'll throw this out there:

I have a Dell 3189 Chromebook that I reflashed with Mr. Chromebox's BIOS. It does not see the touchscreen in MX23 KDE and there's nothing in dmesg. The reason I'm asking is it works properly in Kubuntu 23, and it goes without saying it worked flawlessly as a Chromebook. Appreciate any help; otherwise, it's back to Kubuntu. Thanks

Install the Liquorix 6.5 kernel from "MX Package Installer".

Drive is encrypted. I cannot enter the password in the LUKS screen using the Liquorix kernel. Works normally under 6.1.

I logged the installation process and there are some errors, though not sure if they are responsible.

... then the "Debian 6.5 AHS" ..

(Meanwhile: Liq. works normal here, home encrypted, though this is just a laptop)

Probably calling it a day...

Can you change your repo in "MX Repo Manager" (1st tab) to "Salt Lake" ? Apply ... then re-try ..

( Yes: that one is missing in https://mirrors.rit.edu/... the latest one there is: 6.5.0-1mx-ahs ... not synced, so it's unable to find it ... Salt Lake is the #1 repo owned and maintained by MX, not 3rd parties ... )
