Unable to instal

This has occurred 3X in a row now: As the installer is install MX23, I'm filling out the stuff,and clicking on next, until that part is done.
When installer is already in the 90's, it stops and error message says something like, no system configuration, and install cancels.
I'm at a loss. BTW-Prior to the install, I formatted that partition, with gParted to ext4. Please assist. Thank you.

It's ok that you pre-formatted it.

You can also use the auto installation but that will wipe the whole disk.

You know, you need to select / for the main partition where MX will be installed, under "use for" column ..


Also just when that happens (not now, but after that event): you can post the minstall.log in /var/log/

(You can also get that from "Quick System Info" from menu.)

Same problem.Over the many years I''ve been using Linux, I've made very many installs;nary a problem, until MX23.
I'm about ready to give up.Please see attachment ss of "LiveLog". Thanks again for any help.

Thank you but : /var/log/minstall.log

would show all stages, also would help devs to develop/bug-fix if there's something ...

At least you can take a screenshot (you can use that app. installed ootb) when on "Choose Partitions" stage, maybe you're doing something wrong there ...


Meanwhile, assuming you already disabled "secure boot" in bios.

Sorry, but forum not accepting minstall.log file-text file too large. Also, NO mistake on which partition to use.
Thanks Believe me, please, I've been using Linux since 1998. However, after this problem trying to install
proves to me I sure don't know it all(not that I ever thought I did). One final try and then THAT's IT!

Estoy tratando de instalar MXLinux en un ordenador
Ya lo instalé, (no sin problemas) en un portátil y en otro ordenador
Este es un i5 de intel 12thGen, con 32GB de RAM y una placa base Gigabyte B660M
El caso es que lo he intentado mas de 20 veces de todas las maneras posibles
he formateado los discos con Gparted
He desactivado, y activado varias veces el Secure Boot y otros sistemas se instalan sin problemas
Como antecedente en este equipo tenía Ubuntu
he controlado la integridad de las ISOs varias veces, he descargado la imagen del sistema en varias versiones-Estamos hablando de MXLInux 23.1-
Cuando la instalación llega a "Init" se cuelga y me suelta un mensaje que entre otras cosas pone:
INIT: No inittab.d directory found (sobre esto en el foro no encontré nada)
y la última frase antes de colgarse es:
Waiting for /dev to be fully populated...._

Alguna sugerencia antes de olvidarme del tema?
