antix 23 mullvad install script "no file name"

Hi,

Long-time user of MX Linux (XFCE and now fluxbox), and am planning to move over to antix. In configuring the test system the Mullvad installation script failed with the error "no file name". This happened before under MX 21, when Mullvad moved some files. Is it possible to update the antix installation script with the working one?

The "Mullvad VPN" which installs from the MX 23 package manager works. From what I recall this has two scripts called something like "mullvadvpn_download_installer" and "mullvad_sysvinit_scripts".

I'm not sure how to download these directly from the MX repo. If anyone can tell me how to do so, I will do so and post them here.

The latest packageinstaller version to install Mullvad VPN available in MX23 works also in antiX23:

So I guess the antiX package needs to be updated.
If you want to get it now, e.g on the terminal command line:
Get it:

curl  -RLJO https://github.com/MX-Linux/mx-packageinstaller-pkglist/raw/master/mullvadvpn.pm

Copy it so it will be available within the Software packageinstaller:

sudo cp  mullvadvpn.pm /usr/share/packageinstaller-pkglist/

Thank you @fehlix for your help. Finally able to get back to this and am getting a different error now:

"Could not read script mullvad-daemon. No such file or directory."

After rebooting, the mullvad app starts, but then fails to connect to the daemon.

Yea, seems the sysd2v init script converter is missing, which you can get from
here
https://github.com/MX-Linux/mx-packagei ... /sysd2v.sh
and copied as executabel script somewhre into /usr/local/bin.
Something else seem to be "missing", as I see some error message when trying to run
the daemon manually. IIRC, somehow related to NetWork manager, which I'm not sure would be available on antiX-23. So, I guess some antiX experts need to confirm/verfiy that Mullvad wont't be run on antiX, or otherwise.

I think there is a network manager option with antix. Will install the converter and see about network manager & antix and go from there. Really hope to be able to get it working, as Mullvad is essential and would love to switch over to antix.
