DMAR Error

#1 Post by crazysquirrel »

Upon booting and loading, I get a DMAR error and something about write being turned off.
It goes so fast I cannot read it. Even Pause button does not stop it for me to get the information.

Can this fix the problem?
intel_iommu=off

I believe the command is actually

Code: Select all

intel_iommu=igfx_off
however, it is best to have the actual error line, if it is an error, before doing that.

I have found that some messages are found in logs at /var/log and some require me to video the boot and then play it back ;-/ (analogue I know, but works :-) )

Noting in the boot logs but I did find this in a dmesg log

0.380692] DMAR: DRHD: handling fault status reg 3
[ 0.380692] DMAR: [DMA Write NO_PASID] Request device [00:02.0] fault addr 0xee7e1e000 [fault reason 0x05] PTE Write access is not set

Please note: My graphics is integrated into the core i5 660 cpu.
Motherboard information from another site says it is an H55 Express (something).
No idea what they are talking about.
