Request MX-23: XanMod Kernel

#1 Post by daemonspudguy »

The XanMod kernel is already usable on MX with the official repo, but I think it should also be available in MX Package Installer as well to make installation easier. The main benefits XanMod offers include a much more recent Kernel as a base, with the Zen patchset, and support for Winesync.

Since they really don't provide debianized source packages for their kernel, and I don't have the time to hunt them down if they do have them hidden someplace, you would have to demonstrate how much better xanmod is than the Liquorix kernels we already port over to our AHS repo for those that want low latency kernels.

Liquorix also tracks the latest kernel updates and uses the Zen patchset.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing
