As far as I remember MX-Comfort tool does not change the accent color in the gtk-theme (e.g. gtk menu higlights), you can change only panel and fluxbox styles.
But maybe it was an interesting idea to change the color with a similar script that creates a proper gtk.css file in the ~/.config/gtk-3.0 directory.
Desktop PC: Intel Core i5-4670K, Gigabyte H81M-S2PV, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro K2000. Laptop: MacBook Late 2008, Core2Duo 2.0GHz, 8GB RAM. Netbook: Asus EEEPC Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 2GB RAM. System: MX23 64bit/32bit Fluxbox.

Ah, that's what you meant.
Yep, MX-Comfort tool doesn't touch gtk themes. I did play around a while ago with globally editing the highlight colour in the mx-comfort gtk-theme, hope I still have the sed script somewhere. Anyway, I got stuck with Thunar, because that needed additional css settings for drop down menus, side panel etc. and I never got checkboxes or radio buttons to change colour and then got distracted with MX23 stuff. Something to dig out again one rainy day...

<this doesn't really belong here, will move later)

Speaking of rainy day items: I think we need a small yad named "MXFB-screensaver" that will make it easier and more obvious for the user to control:

1) adjust the delay before the screen blanks
--> sed on the startup entry to change number of seconds
2) temporarily turn off blanking (for watching a video/movie, conference, etc.)
--> xset s off -dpms
--> log out/in to restore
3) permanently turn off blanking
--> sed to comment out the startup entry

I suspect it would eventually (next point release?) go to Settings > Display > Screensaver

Am also liking Adwaita icons for exit-options.

@Jerry3904 Will do.

If anyone wants to try it out now, you just need to save the following config under
~/.config/MX-Linux/exit-options/adwaita_exit-options.conf
and then select the theme with exit-options-manager (right click on logout icon in panel to open manager)

Code: Select all

ConfName=adwaita_exit-options.conf

Margin=24
Spacing=0
IconSize=48

RestartFluxbox=/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/64x64/actions/view-refresh-symbolic.symbolic.png
LockIcon=/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/64x64/actions/action-unavailable-symbolic.symbolic.png
LogoutIcon=/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/64x64/actions/system-switch-user-symbolic.symbolic.png
SuspendIcon=/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/64x64/actions/document-open-recent-symbolic.symbolic.png
RebootIcon=/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/64x64/actions/system-reboot-symbolic.symbolic.png
ShutdownIcon=/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/64x64/actions/system-shutdown-symbolic.symbolic.png

timeout=5
layout=vertical

New release. New desktop.

Created a horizontal conky and moved the tint2 toolbar below it. Changed the MX logo for the rofi app finder to a fluxbox logo I found here (http://www.fluxbox.org/files/propaganda/).

Added icons to my menus this time around using the <'icon'> variable (except for the System sub menu which gets over written after updates).

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.
