Single-click. I always have trouble with double-click - I can't seem to time it right, no matter how I adjust the delay.

I prefer single click as it saves time and I can boast how fast Linux is compared to Windows. Just requiring a single click to do all tasks.
Of course not a very valid argument but works well on non-techies / windows users. They are impressed!

Double click for me. I accidentally click too many things. I like the option in MX Tweaks to do either.

How does one highlight more that one file in a file manager with single click?

Single click to select a file at the start of a list.
Hold shift key and single click file at end of list to highlight all files.
Or hold Ctrl and single click to select individual files.

In my experience, computer junky since 1967, single click is the new kid on the block.

Best part is it's selectable, so everyone can have what they like.

Double click, but if you keep on with single click at least it is easy to change.
I use single click to select which with double click to open allows me to select more than one file at a time.
Files opening when I want to do something else is annoying.

Double click.
First thing I do with a new install is change it on the Desktop, Thunar and Root Thunar to double click.

If double click is decided as the default easy enough to change. And I would immediately to single click. Double just seems unatural to me.
