I decided to use this background included in the MX 23 release. It seems the most balanced and calming for night owls.

~/.conky/ -- ( https://1-DOT.com/tech/conky.1-DOT.timedate.zip ) -- simple Fluxbox time-and-date-only conky folder
~/.fluxbox/styles/ -- ( https://1-DOT.com/tech/3dots-wm-theme.zip ) -- MX-Debian "OSX 3-dots style" window manager theme
~/.config/neofetch/ -- ( https://1-DOT.com/tech/neofetch/config.conf ) -- "text-only" compact neofetch display option

Perhaps this will be my final desktop for this summer.

I really like the Matcha dark themes and I think it is a pity, there are no official repositiories for the themes, as it was in MX21.

I've also finally fixed the problem of translucent borders of Thunar, Firefox and terminal apps, that appears after lauching compton.
I've just added a line:

Code: Select all

window.borderWidth: 0
to the overlay file.
Desktop PC: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5GHz, MSI B550M PRO-VDH, 32GB RAM, Gigabyte RX 570. Laptop: MacBook Late 2008, Core2Duo 2.0GHz, 8GB RAM. Netbook: Asus EEEPC Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 2GB RAM. System: MX23 64bit/32bit Fluxbox.

@asqwerth @Jerry3904
I have a minor concern.

I am the person who directed the new MX logo.
Only the Fluxbox logo appears to lose its aspect ratio. (It's slightly squashed vertically.)

I couldn't believe my eyes at first. However, when I tried to verify it, it is certainly vertically squashed like this.

This problem can probably be solved by updating the logo data for fluxbox with MX Updater.

Those two images are obviously different sizes. Is the Fluxbox screenshot coming from the panel? If yes, max icon size is set by the panel settings. If no, I have no idea ATM but will look.

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

The tint2 button linkls to the file /usr/local/share/icons/mxfcelogo-rounded.png, however this file is a symlink to usr/local/share/icons/MXLogoStart-THE.png
MXLogoStart-THE.png is sized 80x74 pixels, so I suspect tint2 is squashing the image into a square.

Resizing MXLogoStart-THE.png to 80x80px seems to fix the issue.
80x74px logo on left, 80x80px image on right. All other tint2 settings identical.
tint2-mx-logos.png

which btw is why I think icon files should always be square...

@Melber
OK, I understand and agree.

For the time being,
pass to you modified MXLogoStart-THE (80x80).(Added a little transparent margin.)
MXLogoStart-THE(80x80).png
Note: MXLogoStart-THE.png is other developer’s file
remade by me, that’s not square at first.
In other words, Icon file is probably not square for a long time.
We fixed this problem at this time…
