Well you are not alone with this (or a very similar issue). I've installed the 6.1 ahs kernel when I bought a new computer. When I tried to get the usb dongle to work, no go until I switched to the liqorix kernel. Check out such posts using the search tool here in the forum. Note that my travails were using a realtek driver for an usb dongle but I see in your QSI that you are referring to the onboard wifi so things might be a little different in your case. However, it would be interesting to see how you go with a different kernel such as I've referred.

IIRC the kernel updated in MX23, from 10 to 11.

They came through twice, I caught the first and the second update. Tested my dongle, all is ok. But indeed onboard..

Can you check what the last updates were?

@allin
Based on the age of its cpu, your laptop is at least 12 years old and the most likely reason for the wifi failure is that the necessary driver has been dropped from the kernel. I think that you should access MXPI --> Popular Apps --> Kernels and install the antix 5.10.xxx kernel. Then, reboot, and at the Grub screen choose Advanced Options to select the new kernel as your boot choice. If this solves your problem, you can make the switch permanent with the Boot Options utility in MX Tools. In Linux, "newest" often isn't the best option.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

It's supported between: 3.14 - 6.3

Open "MX Network Assistant" and enable (load) wl , disable (unload and blacklist) brcmsmac, brcm80211

(to prevent conflict), Reboot.

(Or do the vice versa: enable brcmsmac , disable wl )

That's true for the CPU and its chipset, but it doesn't necessarily hold for the WiFi card model in use

" wifi not working after updates "

So, it was working with the default 6.1 kernel.

Having him use the antix 5.10.xxx kernel is a sort of acid test. Since he has inferred that the card worked with an earlier version of 6.1.xxx, it should also work with the even earlier 5.10.xxx. But if it doesn't work, the card,itself, is the problem.
